Oana Florescu

Oana Florescu is head of engineering for YouTube Shopping Creator, leading a global team in building out a new business opportunity for YouTube creators, across video formats and several shopping business models. Prior to this, Oana held leadership roles in Google Maps and Google Calendar. She has a PhD in embedded systems from Eindhoven University of Technology, and a computer engineering degree from Politehnica University of Bucharest.

Oana is passionate about diversity and inclusion, and from early on in her career she has been actively involved with mentoring and fostering communities. As a CapitalG mentor, she is also involved in startups advising.
