Barbara Stauble

⚡ Meet our Core Team Member, Barbara Stäuble ⚡In charge of education, amongst others. 

Barbara is a physicist who has worked to establish new universities and schools in Malaysia, Oman and China. She is convinced that the education of science and technology should be fun, start at a young age and be continuous for all stages of life. Advancing the education of young women, especially in the STEM subjects, is a topic that Barbara cares about strongly. This was particularly evident in her work as vice-president of the German University in Oman, where over 70% of students were female. In the school she helped setting up in Beijing, girls and boys are introduced to coding in a playful way in kindergarten.

Barbara is the proud mother of two, now adult, children. She co-authored several papers with Nobel prize winner Alex Müller, was granted an award for Excellence and Innovation in Teaching from an Australian university, worked as an advisor for the Minister of Higher Education in Oman, and was presented a Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Contribution to Sino-Swiss Relations by the Swiss Ambassador in China.

Barbara currently works as a consultant for international education and is based in the region surrounding Zurich. She is a board member of educationsuisse and is delighted to be a member of WIT Switzerland and encourage women to work in STEM.
